Also I notice stinging cut doesn't crit as much when you leap attack in defensive form. If you want a guaranteed SC, then be in offensive, leap, and hit the button for stinging. You will auto switch to defensive by default unless you toggled it off.
I hated the animation and are glad they changed it. I did work around it but backpedaling first, but it was still ugly and looked stupid. The mechanic is a great idea, nice gap closer, nice damage, reason to not want to get in close with a warrior. However it needs work, and the recent nerf is too extreme.
On a side note I wish I could toggle my stance through a button so I can flip between offensive (to hit decimate when SC isnt up) and defensive easily.
