I do not like the current implementation of Leap Attack. I am happy the awkward jumping sequence was removed though.
It was too easy to spam and with its high crit % it was pretty much constant crits which I doubt is the intention nor is it balanced. I could solo yellow 3 dots no problem and be ready to go again fairly quickly. My main problem with the change now is losing the ability to close the gap between myself and a player.
Instead of a slow, awkward jumping animation, port the player in front of the target, then play the leap attack animation. Rename it to "Charge" or something relevant.
The range that leap attack works is reasonable to me, it's not far. I still have to work hard to get close enough to use it in PvP. If someone's smart they can kill avoid me.
There are so many variables with all the 1v1 fights I've been involved in, but most of them that were with relatively equal levels, I was pretty much owned, until I got leap attack which evened things out. I was by no means some killer PvP class with leap attack how it was. In fact I liked the fact it was my secret weapon to people who make the mistake of getting in close with a warrior. DKs/Pals/rogues/monks/whoever still beat me if I didn't use my orc racial.
So in PvE yes I saw an imbalance, but the ffect it has on PvP needs to be addressed. By a) including a warp-to function, and adjusting the dmg/crit% on it.
