It had its uses and i dont care what you say, the previous animation and mechanics was bad. If it was used the way it was intended, IE on a fleeing foe, then it should have had a low health of foe component put on it. As it was, it was silly.
But fear not, to get a decent attack without the silly mechanic the endurance cost was raised 3X.
taunting strike got a 4X endurance cost raise.
And heres my Opinion and feedback:
Given that 90% of our abilities is endurance based, or has an endurance component, raising endurance costs on skills just makes other skills even LESS used.
Start putting more skills on the energy bar . Power attack doesnt cut it either. Do a dps parse, the dps gain with this on and off, IS NOT the % said in the tooltip of any rank.
When can we expect the fix to chains that are putting us in a different stance? How about fixing that key component instead of the other crap?
Frankly, with muultiple bugs,( I still cant get my toon to log in with the right appearance 1 in 3 trys) and other game problems, tha very LAST thing you need is bad word of mouth from players who your changing key aspects of thier toons with each patch.
edit: I left eq2 after supporting it since release. Know why? The dev response in EoF that said they were having to take 1 step back to take 2 steps forward. I dont know any more stupid saying or comment or response from a game,buisness, organization , than that one. You dont continue to negate a players past work just so they can be better in the future. Game balancing is needed but I wont stick around for the rollercoaster ride of good class 1 day, bad class, good class, bad class and etc.
