I know what you mean as far as all the things fear can cause. For example the Screaming Terror spell necromancers got. I'm not sure if that was a verant or sony spell because I didn't play a necro but it was a spell to mesmerize the target into just standing there and screaming heh.
As to abilities fear can cause, i wonder if there would be a way to summon a kind of phantom caused by the target's fear that they so believe is real it causes them harm? That would be another way to do a DoT spell.
