Probably a little too much reference to EQ2.
However, I would not say that it is totally invalidated.
I remember everyone being very jealous of the Pallies and Shadowknights in EQ2, because quite frankly, they definately had the best level 20 "fun spell." Nobody at that time when the first level 20's were running around had enough money to buy an actual mount.
It would definately be a huge perk if they were allowed something similar. We will see.
