I'm ok with a Paladin being limited to one handed weapons because I always invision the class holding a shield. That being said, It would be that if we are limited in using one handed weapons then they compansate this with shield skills.
Currently in DDO I have a Paladin and I chose the skills/feats Shield Mastery , Shield Bashing and something else. So when I take a defensive stance I can deflect 99% incomming missle weapons and melee attacks.
The bad part is that I can't draw aggro while in this position.
