Signing In
First off, hello! I've posted a couple of times here, but never formally said hello. This seems the best place, as I'm looking very forward to joining the Warrior ranks when Vanguard is released. My prior experience with MMORPGs has been as a high end raiding Cleric in EQ1, then as a 67th level Wizard and 65th level Dirge in EQ2 and a smattering of classes of no real importance in The Realm, WoW, SWG and DAoC.
Through the years of playing MMORPGs, mostly EQ and EQ2, I've had the chance to observe a number of highly skilled Warriors (and other heavy fighters) at work, and now I'm ready to take the challenge myself. Six years of watching tanks and asking every question to learn my role better has given me a good bit of starting insight, so I'm hoping it serves me well going forward.
From the information that has found its way to us on the public forums, Vanguard, and the Warrior class sound like they will be both highly challenging and rewarding, something I welcome. On that same note, I look forward to the chance to work WITH the other three heavy fighter classes to plan strategies for groupings and eventually raids. I have faith that Vanguard will provide interesting ways for each of the four fighters to step up lead, while also balancing in situations to support each other when it's their turn to take the head.
