Creating a Signature (sig)

To add a signature, first click on "Profile" at the top of the page and scroll down to where it says "Signature: This is a block of text that can be added to posts you make. There is a 255 character limit". Enter the text you want to appear in your signature in this box and it will automatically be placed under your posts. Please try and keep the size of your signature sensible.
Graphical
The Signature entry field supports
BBCode meaning you can quickly and easily add graphical signatures. Images should be
no larger than 450 pixels wide and 250 pixels high. You will need to have your signature image hosted online at a host that allows direct linking (a list of hosts that allow direct linking can be found
here - External link. Note that I have not vetted these hosts and am providing this list for informational purposes). You must host the image online, as although you can link to images on your local hard drive, no one but you will be able to see them.
Once you have this image available online click on "Profile" at the top of the page and just off the bottom of the first page is an input box labelled "Signature: This is a block of text that can be added to posts you make. There is a 255 character limit".
Into this box, enter the following code:

Obviously you subsitute the "URL OF YOUR IMAGE HERE" for the URL of your image and it will appear in your signature once you click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the Profile page.
As an example, if your sig were hosted at
www.notarealhost.com the code would be:

You can also encapsulate the image with a link to a URL - create a sig that links back to
http://www.vanguardfighters.com/ using the URL tags as below:

When you are done making changes, click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the page.
Creating an Avatar
An Avatar is the little picture that appears under your name when you make posts. To add an Avatar, first click on "Profile" at the top of the page and scroll down to where it says "Avatar control panel" near the bottom then follow the directions. At time of writing there are no images in the avatar gallery, so you will need to provide a link to an off-site Avatar.
Only one image can be displayed at a time, its
width can be no greater than 80 pixels, the
height no greater than 80 pixels, and the file size no more than 6 KB.
When you are done making changes, click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the page.
