God I am gonna get flamed for this, but I've always seen the warrior as a combination of Conan and Caramon. Brute strength with a no frills attitude toward what needs to be done. I know Conan is more of the fantasy warrior/rogue without a lot of "real world" physics-type application....that loincloth would need to have some pretty hefty enchants on it to protect ole Au-nuld. Caramon (ala DragonLance) was classic example of the old school Dungeons and Dragons fighter type, had a bit more practical approach to his craft. He had a weapon for every occasion and proved by having all the stealth of a pregnant Yak. Yet in later books, he showed both intelligence and cunning, traits not normally associated with a tank.
At any rate, that's how I want to play my Dwarven warrior. I'll favor an Axe, but will use what I need depending upon the situation. Oh, and I'll go for the most gaudiest, over-the-top armour I can find, steal or make.
