I see the archetypal paladin as the sword and shield. The King Arthur style knight. Excalibur in one hand, shield with emblazoned cross in the other. The helm with wings and of course, the body encased in steel.
As far as piercing weapons; I can see paladins using a lance , but not a rapier or a dagger. Hammers seem to be more of a dwarf thing and I can see a paladin using an axe, but I still believe sword and shield style should be the best, or at least equate with any other playstyle (two-handed weapons).
Also heard they were limiting Paladin-playable races. The largest race that clan play a paladin is a human. So, I expect to see Dwarf, Human, and maybe High Elf paladins?
