On EQ2 Test, we generally get from 1-3 weeks testing each update, depending on the extent of the new content/changes being done that time around. On more major game updates, QA is generally very active with the Test community, taking notes and major bug reports via our /test channel, among other avenues.

The one time in my memory that there was a rapid push to live, such as what started this thread, we on EQ2 Test sounded much like you all are here. "How can we test stuff if you push it live so fast!?!", etc. But, as I said, that was once in my memory, and I've been on EQ2 Test full time for well over a year now.

Not all bugs we report get fixed before things go live. But most got reported. They (the devs) prioritize how they have to, I suppose, but generally the big ones get caught and fixed before going live. That's about all you can do as testers - keep your eyes open, file the /bugs, and hope the devs can keep up with fixing what you all find as best they can.
