Re: Finishers

Finishing attacks (that I know at level 20)
  • Hewing the Mountain
    • overhand attack that does 400% damage +variable amount depending on which version you have and stuns your target for 3 seconds
    • Think I got the first one around level 10-ish(?). I'm level 20 and I have Hewing the Mountain II
  • Split the Clouds
    • Whirl of blades that deals damage to all foes within 8m
    • AOE finisher!!! *does the dance of joy* At level 20 I'm still using Split the Clouds I. I want to say I got it at 14. I know it has been a terribly happy place for me. When we get mobbed I hit my AoE attack until this pops and I use this finisher. My tank goes into heal mode - continue until one side dies
On top of this, we have two other attacks to be mindful of
  • Echoing Cut
    • Counterattack
    • After a successful parry do 150% damage plus a varying amount. Depending on the version you have
    • I got this pretty early - 6 or 8 iirc. This is great if you pull with daggers. i would throw a few and this would inevitably be the first attack I would get off in my attack chain before the tank pulled aggro
  • Hinder
    • Intercept
    • Intercepts an attack directed at your defensive target and does 150% damage plus a variable amount and adds a variable amount of hate.
    • Normally use this to either rescue the tank or once the tank as seated aggro enough that I won't pull it and I want to get a decent attack in
    • Have not used it nearly as much as the other three and got it relatively early

After the triggering event many things will happen.
  1. You will hear a sound that looks like a chain rattling (at least it does to me)
  2. Your target will turn red (blue if you are using your parry move)
  3. The move you are able to use with light up (if you have the energy/endurance to use it)
  4. There will be a green timer bar on the icon. This timer bar is your "window of opportunity" you can use the triggered attack within 8 seconds of triggering it *OR* until you make another attack. If you make another attack, you lose your finisher for that opportunity and you have to wait for it to trigger again

Hope that helps
