I think alot of performance issues are the 8800. This weekend I was staying with some friends and used there computer to play a bit, I crashed and had graphic issues every 10 minutes it felt like . I was so frustrated that at the end, I just did a follow on my friend and he evac'd me to a safe place to log.

I get home and jump on my computer with a 7900GTO and not a single crash. I very very rarely crash. Everyone I've spoken to with the 8800 has had problems, and not just this game but all games. Maybe not as much in other games but it has it's issues.

Also remember windows Vista is a memory hog. If you have all the graphics turned on, you will pay the price in memory used. there is a reason Microsoft is suggesting everyone that will turn on max graphics have 2G's of ram for most every day use.
