I may be overstepping my bounds for saying this and I don't mean to rub it in but I am quite disappointed with the moderation of a certain other affiliate site. They say
"A Spark Neglected Burns The House". As it stands there are people currently badmouthing the affiliate program and some are even going so far as asking for the death of it. When it was decided that all discussion forums were to managed by the fansites Elrar said "Fan sites create communities that are supportive of each other rather than the self destructive behaviors that are seen in more centralized communities." By allowing the flames to go unchecked this particular affiliated fansite has become home to a self-destructive community it was supposed to prevent. This is sending a signal to the community that the affiliate fansite program has been a failure. I don't believe it is a failure, yet. I do believe however; that if this site doesn't start stepping up the moderation soon the community that many worked so hard to build will go up in flames to loss of all.
If powers that be feel that this post was too far over-the-line then remove it. It would be a sad day indeed if my post started a fire over here.
