I did this quest on my ranger.
I snared the dazed farmers and led them back to the mill. I killed them in the mill and then picked up all the parts. There was one part that I couldn't see until I moved my toon. Rinse lather repeat.
I then put the parts in the mill and then the feed barrel. Was able to finish it with no problems. Hope this helps.
