Let me tell you a story, a story of a hapless Jedi and his cousin. His cousin, a bio-engineer, loved making attack durnies. (attack bunnies)

Basically, the Jedi would wait around on Dathomir, whilst his BE cousin would sample the badest of the nasties there, and cram the results into an durnie.

Enter something called the Corevette (in the bygone days when that took a good sized group to handle). One of said experiments had just a tad too much rancor and spider in him... and aggro'd everything. *Everything.* One bite, and off to the next mob... did I meantion each mob would then charge the BE/CH cousin and the Jedi?

You don't want to know how nasty that was, especially without a buffer to rebuff the rather annoyed Jedi and the BE who loved his attack durnies.

Moral of the story: sometimes, it's nice to have a critter that won't get TOO much attention (oh, and in those days, mls+mdef with ls toughness rocked everything).
