Shaman Conjuration Skill
I apologize if this is old news and has already gone live, but last night when I was adventuring with my shaman, I noticed that my hoarfrost (quickcast DoT) line was getting resisted around 75% of the time. I couldn't figure out why until I noticed that I was gaining conjuration skill every so often.
Until this latest patch (I think), the icon for hoarfrost had always said it was a conjuration skill, but casting it skilled up evocation instead, and it seemed to be linked to evocation. Apparently, that bug has been fixed.
The problem is that, other than the new hoarfrost, there was only one shaman spell I was aware of that gave conjuration skill - a level 8 (?) summon rez orb spell that takes five seconds to cast. Because it takes forever to cast and doesn't have to be used that much, I (like most shamen, I assume) have let my conjuration skill lag far behind the others. When I was in my low teens, I once tried to bring it up by casting the orb spell over and over, but after a half hour of that boredom, the skill hadn't even reached 70 so I gave up.
Anyway, maybe I'm more lazy than other shamen, and I could easily be missing something, but if it goes live like this high level shamen are going to have to spend hours casting the summon spell or hoarfrost just to bring the conjuration line up to where hoarfrost doesn't get resisted half the time (and it's an expensive spell energy-wise).
I'm not sure there's anything that can be done, but I don't remember seeing the fix in the patch notes, so people should at least be warned. It would be nice, however, if you could switch one of our insta-buff spells to conjuration too (at least for a couple weeks), so if we have to grind the skill up, we could at least do it while traveling.
