thoughts on vendor loot and money
Greetings. I am curently hunting in the blighted lands on Kojan fighting various Ulvari fiends and Ra'jin creatures. While the drop rate stat armour etc is ok the drop rate on vendor loot and/or coin is horrendous. I am currently using my lvl 16 necro and even with the ability to use Necropsy which harvests various boby parts as vendor loot and the odd graft, my at the end of the day is really scarce.
It is not uncommon to go 20 kills or more with zero cash or vendor drops, or magic armour or grafts either for that matter. So to do things like repair armour, buy mounts, houses, gear upgrades, etc is quite difficult.
I has been suggested on the live forums that to make money one should go into crafting, but personally that does not appeal to me. I also do not think we should have to craft when we are adventurers first. For those that love to craft great. we need folks to make that special gear and bags ec. However if eveyone became a crafter at least part time the market would be flooded with stuff that no one would buy because they can make their own or supply far outstrips demand.
When one looks for adventuring gear on the live servers there is a definite glut of low level trash type gear flooding the market, and many people do not have the means to purchase crafter stuff.
Also it seems that only humanoid mobs drop coin. While that is realistic i guess that also sort of makes you have to seek out humanoid mobs to get teh coin as the monster body part drops sell for such low amounts.
I guess the bottom line is we need a loot pass where coin etc is increased a bit or vendor prices for stuff we sell is increased a bit.
I do not want to have to craft to getr money to carry on adventuring and upgrading/repairing gear etc.
regards
