one thing with starving your opponent, --and this is purely subjective data on my part, when you are doing presence grinding it goes by how many "points" you earn as much as keeping control of the dialog tug-of-war.
in my lists of hashmarks, in the games i've kept the dialog button at my 9 or 10 I've gotten a presence-up 1 out of 5-6 hands, when I've stopped at 1 or 2 on my side, the presence-up is like 1 out of 9-10 hands...again I don't ahve the real parsing to back this up.
also note I'm so cheap I won't buy presence-clothes, I just built it up, which will amke your brians creep out of your ears eventually.
