Definitely have to give the server credit, it sure does know just when to explode. Naturally the server died while I was sleeping and then waited for a day I was completely consumed with this weeks DST patching fiasco at work so things were down a little longer than they should have been.

For those who are interested in knowing, around 1:30am EST this morning the server running the Vanguard Spheres website tossed a disk. Thankfully between a combination of offsite backups that ran just 30 minutes prior to the disk dying and some heavy duty FSCKing I've been able to resurrect the server without any loss of data that I can see. Please keep an eye out for things that dont seem to be working properly. I'll be closely monitoring the server for further signs of trouble and may have to take it down again this weekend to move to another server if the disk and disk system continue to have trouble. I'll keep you posted and my apologies for the outage.
