RiP, or Rest in Peace, has been around for 10+ years, spanning several different games, such as EQ/EQ2, DAoC, SWG, WoW, and many other smaller, unknown games. We are more suited to players in the US eastern time zone, especially during the week, but anyone in the entire world is welcome to join.

We've always played the part of the "content based guild", and since most games were based mostly on combat, that usually placed us in the category of raiding guilds.

This game presents quite a bit more than just combat, coupled with the fact that none of our core members are 20 somethings anymore, we've decided we would like to expand our guild along these lines, and create more of a community, as opposed to a focused force.

With that in mind, we are recruiting any class, sphere, or combination of. We are not concerned with your level in any sphere. What we are concerned with mostly, is that you can maintain a helpfull, civil attitude towards your guildmates and outsiders all the same. We would prefer players with at least a semi active playtime, 3 to 4 days a week for a couple hours during the evening EST time would be fine, anymore is bonus.

Other things to know...

Our guild presently operates on a benevolent dictator model, but this is more to preserve the guilds original goals from being altered. While some issues are handled solely by the guild leader, most are put up for discussion for those members that wish to participate. All ideas, positions, and opinions are noted, and quite frequently have an effect on policy.

We have a forum and teamspeak server that are personally hosted by members of this guild. Usage is not required at all, but they are there for you to use.

Not only are we looking for adventurers, crafters, and diplomats, we are also looking for story tellers/reporters to handle news and guild flavor, as well as social coordinators who are savvy planning events and such, beyond simply planning adventure raids.

This is not an "alt" guild. We prefer players that concentrate on one character, however alts are not prohibited. We allow 2 alts to be guild tagged, for a total of 3 characters.

We are a a fairly small guild at the moment. Our total roster as of this writing is 22. We usually have 4 to 8 members on throughout weekday evenings, and 5 to 10 on weekends. This is fairly balanced between adventurers and crafters, and very light on diplomats. We need players who can survive, and even thrive in a small guild environment, but at the same time, aspire to build beyond that.

We put recruits through a 2 week trial period, which may be extended, or even shortened, depending on your availability during that period. If your on every night, there is a good chance this would last just over a week. If your on only 1 night a week, this could last as long as a month.
