And to be fair, since this seems to be turning into a Vanguard content VS FFXI content discussion... When FFXI launched, the level cap was 50. It only had a small assortment of then-challenging HNMs to camp and nothing along the lines of Dynamis or endgame BC battle. The missions all concluded with defeating the Shadow Lord, at level 50. The english-speaking playerbase obviously never experienced this start of the game, since the game wasn't released outside Japan until the 1st expansion hit, which is what most people consider to be the "core game."

So, Vanguard will have its content, its moments to shine, but it'll take a while to get there.
i also would like to keep this in a debate. no personal attacks plz strictly debate.

Upon Launch in Japan the level cap was 60, and then upped to 65 right before the launch in the USA, then a few weeks later before Launch in the USA it was upped to level 70 so, at the time of release in the USA it was level 70 the in fact October 29th 2003 was the date of level 70 availability and the USA launch. then in December of 2003 it was upped to level 75. at this time in December of 2003 is when Dynamis hit as well as the actual end game that we all know now. since then they have had 2 expansions

of the toughest 2 expansions was Chains of Promatia, it took nearly a year to complete ad was worth every minute of it. challenging BCNM (Burning Circle Notorious Monsters) until you got to Sea, the goal of the whole expansion. end game there takes an EXTREAMLY LONG time to get anything accomplished, of the later 2 expansions Treasure of Aht Urghan they have improved things drasticly.

so i am fully aware of the fact it takes a LONG time after launch to get things correct. the game (Vanguard) is slowly getting better. but they really should have focused more on getting things right at Launch so they could focus on them updates after. then get more content. their approach was that of.... let's make this massive game for players to explore.... great... but they did not take into consideration of the flaws that could occure.

i didnt intend to make this a FFXI Vs Vanguard threadm i was only ranting a little bit to make my frustration known. but FFXI was the only game i could really compare it to that has kept my attention for the past 3+ years. in fact 3 years 5 months now. when longevity of MMO is usually 5 years

my ideas have seem to have been ignored in terms of what i wish Vanguard would do. i showed FFXI movies i had created to show the fact that you do need large groups to get things accomplished. i showed my frustation in a manner you (as a group) see differently as myself. take into contrast of enjoyment of the entire community and not just yourself. i do not want an entire revamp of the game, just that of which would include a greater versatility than what is incorperated into the game now.

edit: to The Knight sorry i got carried away with my post, as for Group Quests they are great, just the fact of certain conditions upon completing the quests should be changed to make them either more challenging while increasing the time in which you can encounter them. or make the quests completable faster not fighting over 12 other groups (exageration to an extent) but it could be possible.
