I think that everyone has a different playstyle, and perception of a good game. I think the old adage "it's what you make of it" applies a lot to MMO's. If you go in thinking they are going to suck. They will suck. If you think it's the greatest thing since fried chicken (I love leeroy) it'll pretty much rock no matter what.

My personal feel for the game is that it's unfinished, but very promising. I don't mean promising in a vague "it will always be coming tomorrow" sense. I mean promising as in I've seen improvements everyday to mechanics and gameplay kind of thing.

As a small example that hit me close to home. While traveling in aghram I noticed my beloved *ltbrown* tag was missing from the city description. So passes an age.*ok fine i'm a battlestar fan as well.. sigh*

The points put forward by the OP are valid to him, and I hope he respects the points that were made to counter them. Whether or not they changed his mind.
