I dont know, whilst I would probably not use this service I do why people would use it *shrugs* doesnt bother me either way.
If Sigil are indeed good at cracking them down, then all this does is RISE the price of the gold, and if its a game where its gold fetches a high price then it will attract more gold farming companies who try even harder! and they get more clever
Its like any kind of security, be it house or car.. if theif wants it, he will get it! all you can do is try to deter them.
I have to say though that if game companies actually build their own system where by people can LEGITIMATLY purchase gold then it works out very well!
In EVE you are legally alowed to sell their Time cards for in-game ISK!.. which means that you can farm ISK to purchase game time, OR you can purchase game time and sell it for ISK.
Its a fantastic system which adds a great deal of depth..
so I cant say its completly a BAD idea.
