you speak of the average gamer taking a while to level up. it should take a while yes, but some of us wanna get to the end game content and not spend so much time on monotonous grinding. i like the fact that exp parties are the way to go, get's you involved with others. just that it's hard to find parties. atleast for me anyways.

Why is end game content the most important? I levelled a character to 70 in EQ2 in two months to experience the end game content and, when we weren't raiding, I was on a lower level character experiencing what I had missed in my mad dash up the level ladder.
If you don't want to level slowly then, and no offence meant by this, then you shouldn't be playing VG. If WoW didn't take your fancy then try EQ2, that seems to be the middle road.
As for hardcore gamers, Vanguard strikes me as a pretty hardcore game . . .
