Exactly! That's what many people have said.

here is the reason i compared it to WoW, because that IS the game that people who don't play MMO even know about. common now South Park meets WoW, remember that? they will never do a South Park meets Vanguard.
Thank the dear lord!!

did WoW copy UI from EQ sure, but WoW is the game that made it all happen dragging in all types of players. people who have never played MMO before.
I think EQ had the biggest lead there, followed by UO, bringing in many people who had never really considered MMOs, much less MMORPGs before - including me! My son got me started. My hubby was with UO and came to EQ. EQ was probably the largest benchmark that set the tone for many things, including VSoH, since this is the original group that has now done both!

did you actually read my post? did you actually read the reviews and what i had actually stated.
Yes, I think we did, and in other posts have even agreed that there are many things that need to be fixed. Brad & Co. know that, as well, and have addressed it on many different occasions and in many different arenas. It's just that we're really getting tired of people putting it down over and over when it's an acknowledged fact, and we are seeing fixes by the score! Did you look at the patch notes from the 27/28th?

Vanguard is a ok game with lots of potential they need to fix it and make it a game of the calibur of WoW, it has that potential...

see that's very true. but for the hardcore gamers it's not the leveling that should be the problem. it's the end game content that is what should matter for them. now obviously i can not speak about Vanguard End game content quite yet. i am only level 16.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but...wasn't it you that said WoW couldn't keep your attention for more than a few months??? And, if we're going to discuss "end game" content, let's wait about 5 years, ok? There is no "end game" here, and there probably isn't even one solidly on paper yet. Higher content? Yes, but "end game", I think not. There is nothing in the world wrong with releasing a game with a cap of 50!

This game is made for slow and easy play. Sigil has repeatedly stated that it's probably not the game for those wanting to rush thru it and get to the "end." As it is, I'm leveling much faster than I want to. In EQ, it took me 3 months to get to lvl 10, and I was (and still am) just fine with that. I got to really know my character and the abilities, and also the game and areas.

and what do you think about my Macro Pallet idea for the game?
I think that it's the constructive things like that which we all need to concentrate more on and less of the negative.

There are a lot of people who wanted badly to see Sigil fall flat on their faces with Vanguard, and you can actually see that in the bashings that have taken place more and more over the past year. But, ya know what? I honestly was very pleasantly surprised at release of the game when the transitions to full launch went as smoothly as they did and as many issues were fixed at launch as there were!

I certainly don't mean to be harsh, but it's late. I have a sick kid and I need to be asleep for work in the morning, and this was just one more "smack'm down" thread that I really didn't want to see. Thanks to those who did come to Sigil's defense, and I hope that they can continue pulling the fabric of Telon together so more will be able to hear positive comments coming from people, and good, constructive critiques.

You know what Thumper's mom always said....

oh, and no, Shinto. You aren't a fluke. I haven't had hardly any issues with it, either. Lag, yes, but no real major issues with crashing out, having to reboot and horrific bugs that keep you from playing!
