my Rant to Sigil or whoever cares.

Vanguard Saga of Heroes. 5 years in the making:

awsome graphics. creative world.

but it all ends there. level 50 max cap? common rediculous, ok sure it's just released fine. but today i am more P.O'd than ever at this game.

my system is decent for running this game but when i go from 40 FPS to 0 in a matter of a split second it's frustrating. especially when loading a new zone and die, and i cannot get body.

i was :chunking: had aggro. died. released to go get corpse and forced me to go to a load screen, where i shouldnt have had to. i come back with all my gear on but no tombstone anywhere. searched for 40 min. went back to Alter, and tried to summon my earthly remains but there was none! oh but you still managed to take my exp with no chance of returning it GG ya morons.

hmmm other issues with this game? obviously you are aware of a lot of them and are fixing them. i applaud you for that, good job. you know what you need to do. but here is where i get angry. release new content only 1 month after the game is live, AND you can't even fix other issues yet? common now get with the program. FIX the damn problems you have before adding more crap. it's bad enough you need to spend an eternity leveling. I thought Final Fantasy 11 (FFXI) was bad leveling, where it took an average player aprox 6 months to attain the max level (of 75 there) when the game first released, max level was 65. then 2 level caps latter over a course of about 1 year raised to 75.

To Compare leveling in FFXI to a game known for leveling Fast, WoW. it took me a year to get my first 75. now it takes me about 1-2 months depending on the job, simply because i know how to play. When i went to WoW it took me 4 weeks to get my first level 60 (max level at the time) and even now they have level 70s.

can't you atleast average the 2, make it harder than WoW to level yet Easier than FFXI, it's already absolute hell. quests are boring, griding is slow to worthless at best. sure 4 dot mobs raised in exp..... uhhh you need a group, not always easy to do. ok so you get a group start exping. awsome, fantastic. except for 1 drawback, the game playes EXACTLY like WoW GOOD JOB! the defualt UI is -exactly like WoW- uhhh yea.... way to go.... are you kidding me? this is supposed to be a new game. sure there are a few twists in techniques but man it's all the same. i could have came up with a better UI than you guys could have. could i have written it? no, i couldn't have but i could have came up with a different layout. as for the way you use abilities.... let's press 1 2 3 4 or control 1 2 3 4 GREAT woo hoo so fun... (sarcasm intended) i use my mouse to push the commands cuz i would fall asleep at the keyboard if didn't.

basically i'm not the only one who thinks this. here are some reviews.

i think that is enough to get the idea that Vanguard is a 7. that's good. it is. but with so many issues within the game, it's just... yea... if the game was working i'd say it was a 7 but the game is incomplete, it's probably a 5 for enjoyment. there are other games out there that are better.

basically while i am only 1 person my plead to Sigil is this:

Fix the damn problems, or make the game free to play.

Leveling is too redundant, make it a little easier to get to level 30 and harder to get to 50 or something.

make the gameplay the way it should be. why don't you make the game controller work with it the way it should. seeing as how you like using other UI, why not look at the FFXI Macro System and incorperate it into your game, or something similar, that macro system is the best for any MMO i have ever played, EQ, WoW, Liniage2 FFXI etc.

basically, to make this game great, you need to fix the problems that exist now, don't release new crap until it's fixed. and after the issues i've been having i won't be back until they are fixed. with the exception of double exp weekend, i'll play then and then sit around till you have the brain cells to fix what players are telling you is wrong.
