What class will you be? and your thoughts?

I have noticed that there is no “what crafting class do you want to be” in this section of the forums so I will start one up.

I reckon the outfitter and prospector sub-class would be the way to go for me. Getting a higher success rate for good quality harvest is more important to me than being able to get more harvest from a node. Outfitter for all the leather Armour a monk will need.

My thoughts on the sub-class idea.

I really like the idea of all the sub-classes being able to enhance each other in much the same way as an adventuring group. Foreman to increase harvest per node, gleaner to pick out anything the others have not noticed, prospector to increase harvest quality and the reaper to get more harvest per attempt.

My guess is that harvesting won’t be absolutely required to group with other sub-classes until near the cap level for those fabled/epic items and by then most of the crafters capable of working with such things would all be about the same level and thus, grouping won’t be a real problem,

As in harvesting dangerous places, I don’t think that will be a major problem as well as there will be a good deal of adventurers killing mobs. Could just ask one of the groups if it is ok to tag along with them while they grind away. Just a little bit of social skill can take you a long way and make things a lot easier than it was previously thought.

My biggest concern for the crafting spheres is how many combines I would need to do to finally make the end product. In EQ2, the provisioner would have to do a good many combines before he/she would finally get to the finished product causing price inflation. I cannot remember the name of the T2 baked food, but it was selling for 2 gold each, which is way too much.
