I doubt they will stop with the spam till they stop getting thousands of /petition for bugs that should be /bug every day. People wonder why GM's are slow to get to them and I'm sure this is the #1 reason. They also tell you what can be petitioned and if you need further help they tell you to go to the customer support forums. However, I would still love to see some of the spam replaced with what GM's can help me with, so I dont have to browse all kinds of different sites to find an answer.
