For those of us who have been more than a little busy this past week, I thought a look at the
Weekly Roundup might be good so we can all catch up! Sound interesting to you??
There was a little bit of talk in forums about higher level characters, but I don't even want to think about that now! Give me a couple years!
Just when you thought
Sigil doesn't read all the posts on the Affiliate boards,
Elrar proved that wrong! He actually
took the time to explain
why they use PST rather than GMT for the EU servers. People want to gripe over the most trivial things!! Shoot...here in Central time, I've had to always think in the different time zones for my guild, but we used Central as a base, and everyone just did the math. Much less stress!
Looks like, according to
Brad, Fellowships will be implemented, but there's no solid time frame just now (I'm one that wishes they'd just forget about that, but....). He also touched on player housing and the fact that they wanted to make the game
deep rather than
broad, which is what so many other games have been.
Tagad admitted to being....w...wr.....
wrong about durability with some things and talked a bit about it.
Tsudanosh let us know that he revamped the quests within the Pantheon, so that should be better now!
Jansan is lurking on
Vanguard Crafters and is still wanting feedback about crafting advisors from John Q. Public! If you're a crafter, then hop over and
add your 2cp to the thread. Looks like he could use the support!

And there is a running list of known bugs in crafting
here,
if you're interested!
Diplo more your style? Then follow the bouncing dev (
Aruspex) as he anwers all the questions he can.
Horsies here and some prestige notes
here[/u]. He has a lot more to say in various threads, so roam to your heart's content! Brad even mentioned the lore (or what some people think is a lack of) aspect of the game in connection with diplo when he said:

The idea is to convey the majority of lore through diplomacy. That's not to say it won't be and isn't conveyed elsewhere and that we have work to do.
|
If you want to get in on that whole topic, head to
Silky and get the whole context. In a different area, he
commented again about lore and discovery of it:
Quote:
Just wanted to say thanks for this post and others that reveal that there IS lore and a story there. Also there is a greater story that ties a lot of this together that will be revealed the higher level you become, how interested you are in discovering it, by both adventuring and diplomacy.
thanks all,

Last two topics in the Roundup are 1) the test server, which will be coming soon(tm) and 2) the burning question about SLI support! Also on the list, but they consider "squashing bugs" a bigger priority! Can I get an amen???!!!
I know this is long, but let me remind you to visit
Nil's Nexus if you have any questions about technical issues! He has the best step-by-step guide to building your own computer I've seen, and a great guide to tweeking your .ini if you're having some issues running the game, too!
Ok then! Let's button up this week and put it in a safe place! Enjoy your day and enjoy Telon!! I sure plan on it! See you soon!
*wave*
OHHHH....One more thing....
If you get ingame mail about gold selling, take a screenie of it and help keep Telon beautiful! Petition it, but send it to
customersupport@sigilgames.com and let them deal with it. And, to keep the flow of traffic in the petition ques,
do read the MOTD ingame where it asks that you not...
NOT...petition about bugs. Seriously, they can't do anything about it and it's just slowing down other things that they can help with, I'm sure (like horrible names, maybe? Missing tombstones?)!! Just from reading here and other sites, I know that a lot of petitions have been made about that, and it's only causing hard feelings to you, when /bug is what you need to be doing! We've been told they can't reimburse exp and such, so....just help by finding the issues and sending them directly to the devs, ok?
Alrighty..I'm SO gone! Seez ya next week.
