Artificer Training

So I have a little gnome alt running around doing artificing (yeah, I'm an alt-aholic).

I've gotten him to lvl 9 artificing so far, but I ran out of recipes from the trainer in Mekalia (sp?).

My questions are:

Do I just grind to 11 to get the amateur quests?

- Yes. Artificers have a lack of recipes from level 7 to post-amateur training

Do I need my own crafting faction to learn recipes?

- Unknown.

Should I go start grinding out WO's for Khal and forget about my home cave?

- Yes, you actually can get bigger faction increases at Outposts

My concern is that all I've been doing is grinding WO's for Mekalia. I have like 150+ Qalia artisan faction yet only ~50 of Mekalia. Do I need to grind that last 50 to see more recipes? Also, there is no 'outpost' for Mekalia so that'd mean one WO at a time.

- An outpost does exist, but it is surrounded by level 30ish mobs

I never had this problem with my outfitter, he always had recipes to learn at least every even level. That doesn't seem to be the case with my artificer though .
