Re: Patch change not working so well for me (vent post warning)
I have been very careful to say "many" and not "most". I do not, however, want my concerns to be dismissed just because many, or most, or some people are not experiencing them.
(Edit - snip big long precaffeinated rambliness that doesn't add much to the discussion ;-))
I had a totally reasonable time last night making outfitter stuff - real stuff, since I was under WO punt-to-charselect-ban from the taskmasters. Complication numbers were about right, difficulties were about right, even the number of counters required and their relative strengths seemed about right. Item grades came out within the range I'd expect, going from very easy recipes where I got As(feet) to closer to 10 ones (chest piece) where I had trouble getting out of the C grade. I'd do some WOs now if I could, to see if those are okay as well - but sooner or later the WO-embargo will be fixed and I'll be able to try it out. If nothing else, it seems I can make real stuff in a manner I expect and that is consistent with the mechanics of crafting.
Thinking about it since I posted the original ramble, I think what really puzzled me is the apparent discrepancy between real item making and doing WOs. The crafting tool bonus fix certainly seemed to work last night - if I could only do a few work orders, I might find my experience for them has changed too.
