novice, amateur, apprentice, initiate, and journeyman should be the normal order.

I am unsure of the skill levels for each rank.

I do know that

Skill level 1-99 = Novice

The requirement for Amateur is less than 200. I'm guessing 190, but as I read the Apprentice mining book with 198 skill I can't say anything for certain.

At 262 mining I still can't read the Initiate rank book, my guess is that you need 280 skill.

Following that tendency Journeyman rank would be 370 skill.


To advance you skill past 100 I believe you need to head to an area with level 10-19 mobs and harvest these, and then lvl 20-29 for the next rank.

Apparently each nodes "skillup value" is dependant on the level of the area it is found/located in.
