okay i'm an outfitter, so i geared my harvesting towards that.. aka Skinning and Reaping, and in that order. since these are what i know i will use them as the examples... so bear with me please.

in-game chat, there seems to be some confusion as to the tiers:

online- novice, amature, apprentice, initiate, and journeyman

in-game- novice, initiate, amature ... etc

can someone please clarify? cause i know my gathered items are listed as amature after 100.

-advancement books:

i am the think ahead type, so i bought all the books at once(plus they weren't that expensive):

now my reaping is at 105(now down to 102) and my skinning is at 190 something, harvesting 215 something. when can i use these books? i could use the amature one for reaping right after i hit 100, but cannot use the skinning one... reaping is completely stuck after using the book, over 40 bales of cotton to date and nada, even tried the harvester guy to redo it.. nada again... GMs say they cannot help and the tech forums aren't working *sighs*

-how to raise your skills:

how do you judge what level animals/creature are worth skinning to raise levels? before 100, after 100? 200? etc... is it area? your adventuring level?

okay so jute is first tier reaping, easy enough, and cotton is second tier.... but is is locational for reaping how you raise it? my levels aren't going up at all just trying to harvest cotton around my home chunk of halgarad/derogar's post (yes it can be harvested there without leaving the chunk, just not as common as jute).

are the levels for reaping/skinning just random?

hoping someone has more of idea and can explain these things to me, thanks.
