I can't imagine how this would be a ram thing. You can run memtest or try taking one stick out (assuming you have more than one) to see if you get more or fewer errors, then swapping them, if you do want to check this.

In addition to (or instead of) Nils #1, I would try doing this. Go
Start ->
run -> type
cmd -> type "sfc /scannow" (without the quotes) and hit enter. It may ask for your Windows CD if it finds a system file that needs replacing so have it handy. Oh and "sfc" = System File Checker, it basically checks to make sure your Windows system files are ok and not corrupted/missing and such.
If that doesn't help and you've tried Nils #1 I would stress number #2 for sure, as bad RAM can lead to corrupt applications and such.
