As a rule of thumb, I try to have the 100pts for the 'nice' finisher. Especially when I'm making stuff to sell or for myself.

If the primary and secondary component are the same grade, the final product should turn out that grade. At least, that seems the trend on all of my items. I've never made any item that had C for both the primary and secondary but D for the final product.
