So if you want an A you probobly want grade A ignots.

As far as making a grade A ignot reliably I'd gauge you need to be 7 levels higher than the ignot recipe. So level 8 for copper or level 18 for tin and so on . You can make then at level and 7 and 17 respectivly but with te current complication frequency chances are you'll fail half the time and loose half your ore.

I think the tin ingot recipe is actually level 14, though you can acquire it when you've done your specialization quest.
