On singles, all you'll get is money (edit - and xp; you always get at least some xp for turning them in, even if you don't get much for making the items). Sets give items (vendor trash usually, possibly a resource (eg a hide)) and money, and batches give money, vendor trash, and occasionally nice stuff like a piece of clothing or a better tool.

I'm still not sure whether the difficulty of the work order affects this - I've had some really nice stuff from easy work orders. The quality of what you turn in does affect it. As far as I've seen, not turning in a full batch means you don't have a chance at the yummy stuff - at least, I've never had goodies for turning in less than five.

As a rule of thumb, it seems to be 1-2% on turnin for Very Easy / Easy work orders, 3-5% for moderates, and 5-8% for difficult. How much you get for making each item appears to vary too much for me to be able to measure with a thumb right now.

Does the level of difficulty have any effect on how much xp I earn? On how much I skill up? On how much coin I earn?
Yes. Harder work orders give much more xp. They seem to be fiddling with the rates right now so it's hard to say anything definite - the other day, for instance, I was getting 4-5% xp *per item* as I made a batch of difficult stuff, and this was for quality D & C, and then another 6-8% when I turned it in. This morning I did a difficult set and got all of 2% per item, when I got anything at all (also Cs and Ds). The first char was my outfitter and this morning was with a blacksmith, though I'm not sure if this has any influence (it shouldn't, but who knows).

Note also that difficulties aren't even within the same group. A moderate work order, for instance, can be 1 level above or below you, or equal to yours - and you'll get more xp for the one above you in level. You should be able to tell relative difficulties by their position in the work order list - though I've seen the "Nearly Impossible" WOs suddenly show up at the bottom again, so I'm not sure what's going on there right now.

On the coin, I'm not sure. On the skillups, I believe you have a better chance of skilling up on items that are more difficult (the wider the gap, the more often you'll skill up). The xp is harder to answer as I said above, but in theory yes, you get more xp from better quality items.

To add to what Jelona said, it's worth knowing that you can put more items on the table for "made for use" stuff than for work order stuff. Up to level 10 you can only put 3 things on the table for a work order, versus 5 for a "real" item - after 10 you get an extra slot for each, and I assume more again as you level into the following tiers. (It may be level 11 now, since they're playing around with the tier stuff.)
