As far as the copper items go, there is a noticeable difference in usefulness between those and tin ones. Copper allows you to customize your stats, but overall does not add all that much to damage. Don't forget, though, that crafted items are available before players are strong enough to get to Three Rivers.

Business is is doing quite well. I am still selling copper harvesters for 1s each, though more for name recognition than cash. I recently started moving into tin items, and made 20s today from a pair of daggers.

20s from a pair of daggers is very good, of course it depends what the prices are like on each server. Hmm, maybe I am being a little too negative here, I'll think on this some more. I have over 200 copper ore in the bank now and about 60 tin that I had collected ready for the next tier. Maybe I'll spend a few hours making some stuff and throw it on the broker for 2-3s and see how it sells and divide my time between adventuring and grinding into tin.

P.S. I still worry though that without any decay in a few months there will be a flood of looted gear being passed between players such that crafted weapons will not be attractive. I am beginning to think that the other crafting profs that make more ulitity items such as bags with many slots, clothes, ships, houses etc might be a better choice.
