I second this one. If you can handle some badguys who are actually, well, bad, then this is one of the best series ever written.
I'm currently trying to read through A Song of Ice and Fire, but it keeps ticking me off, so I'll stop reading for a few weeks, then I'll start to wonder what happens next, so I'll read until I get ticked off again, then I'll pause. I've been reading for six months and I'm only on
