That I didn't have a required item. There was a menu box that appeared, from what I gathered you just click the icons from left to right, but it did nothing..presumably because I am missing something.

I think it is likely I just dont understand crafting even after reading the basics. I assumed that the crafting introduction would supply you with all you need
