didn't get a chance to play in beta, but it was the first & only profession I've tried so far.
So far it's been pretty fun - they can take some hits as well as do some good damage. Most of it is about inflicting fear into your enemy, which makes them less accurate, therefore less damage to you. Level 10 you get a Fear spell that's pretty handy. Normally it's a pain to take on 2 enemies, so if I get in a bind where I'm taking on more than one, I'll fear one and focus on the other, and when he comes back, I'll fear the one I'm on and finish off the first one.
They're quite popular on Hilsbury - see DK's all over the place.
