The mail system works similar to WoW's. You can mail items and items purchased from the Market system will be sent to your mailbox. There were no time delays in mailing items in Beta but there were shipping charges involved in sending and receiving items. No drop or soulbound items could not be mailed as far as I know.

I really hope they make delays in the mail system, especially sending to different continents. I would also love to see more player interaction in the mail system. For example a package delivered from Thestra to Qualia could be set to take 3 in game days, but if a PC were to check in with the postal NPC in the city it was mailed, they could pick up a quest to deliver that package. If they completed it in the time alotted they would recieve the shipping fees instead of having the game eat the money. If they did not deliver it in time. The system would auto-deliver the package and the players quest would fail.
