Gates Of Fire by Stephen Pressfield, its a fantastic book about the battle of Thermopylae and his book
Virtues of War: A Novel of Alexander the Great on Alexander both great reads, Gates of Fire is better tho.
I know this is off the subject of movies but it all connects, kinda, sort of.....
