Actually, I think you misunderstood, Taronn. What he (and I) was saying is that because of the percieved (or actual - it's definately debatable) need to only surround ourselves with people we can trust, life has been made difficult for the true newbie. Someone without a great deal of game knowledge or friends or connections to make said connections.
Most everyone I know is in a guild. You said yourself that LFG was a desperate last resort. What does that say for the people who are forced to view LFG as the ONLY resort?
