The old Silky video that showed class/race combos didn't have gnomish monks. I hope they make it in, though. Heck, I'd allow any race to be any class, but I'd also make it so there are reason why you wouldn't want some race/class combinations (half-giants can't stealth, elves are constantly laughed at if they try to wield a 2-handed sword, etc).
