Re: Laptop question

With that I will drop my two cents on this area. I recently purchased myself a laptop which I was hoping to do some gaming on. When getting a laptop for gaming keep in mind its not going to be the nice little machine that you can easily take anywhere. The more power the push into the laptop the larger they become. Mine has a 15 in screen and even though its about an inch deep it is still fairly large. I know however lots who swear by laptops and have the money to keep it up. Even though it is getting better laptops have a limited amount of upgradeability. You can usually upgrade the hard drive, Proc, and ram but even today the vid card is hard to upgrade if you can at all. The main reason is that parts are soldiered to the boards. So if you have lots of money to buy a 2000 to 2500& machine every few yrs then laptops are ok. If you do not have that much money to keep it up you will quickly find your laptop behind the times and unable to play your favorite new games. On the flipside though man it really is nice to be able to connect from almost anywhere..I can tell you its gotten me out of jams locating unsecured networks all over the country
