I'd recommend pretty much any other company. Actually, I'd recommend that you build it yourself. It's really not as hard as you'd think to put a computer together. You'll save money, AND it's upgradeable. The thing to watch out for with Dell is that they often use proprietary parts and you can't upgrade them.

On the AMD vs. Conroe issue, AMD really slashed their prices, so it's all alot more viable than it was.

So now, it all depends on how much you want to spend. Buy a Conroe at $200+, or a X2 3800 at $100? Choices are good. I like choices.

And everyone knows Radeon is better than Nvidia. (grin)
