Although my background is desktop D&D I am not a deep role player. I do spend ages creating my characters and choosing their name. I do care about my characters reputation in the game. I do flesh out my characters with likes, dislikes and attitudes which are not my own in RL. I do like to find a good spot to watch the sun go down or strip off to go swimming just for fun. I will not wear gear that makes my character look stupid. I like to take my character on "adventures" solo trips across dangerous areas just for the thrill.

I usually try very hard to roleplay. I will always have a backstory, goals that I want to achieve (VG character will be a historian, for example), then choose tasks based on that. I'm willing to avoid groups that are hunting something I don't believe in killing, sacrifice exp for those goals, etc.
Though, I also tend to be the kind of roleplayer who gets along well with anyone who is not openly hostile to it. I don't think I've ever tried to enforce a roleplaying style on anyone (well, except for when I was in a specific guild in Gemstone where roleplaying a specific style was required to join the guild).
